REFUNDS ON CANCELLED BOOKINGS: All Tour and Cruise Companies have different cancellation polices. With today's COVID-19 climate, Airlines, Tour and Cruise Companies' refund time frames have gone from a period of three to six weeks to a new period of six to twenty weeks and sometimes longer for all refunds, credit cards, cash and check payments alike. They have been hit with an unprecedented number of refunds that takes a while to process each individual one. Please rest assured that we are consistently checking on your refund and will contact you when we receive new information. We will sit hours on the phone just to speak to someone about your refund so you do not have to. We appreciate your patience as we are working diligently to secure every refund in the timeliest manner possible.
Many countries have begun implementing strict screening procedures in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. See a list of Embassy websites for country-specific COVID-19 information. Foreign governments and tourism bureaus also maintain information about the spread of COVID-19 in their countries.
Practical advice when traveling: Check with your airline and tour company for new personal requirements and be prepared to follow the CDC recommendations for health screenings and quarantines. While traveling, practice distancing from others and use a disinfecting wipe to clean hard surfaces while traveling, wear a mask. All requirements are fluid and can change hour by hour. Please double check personal requirements with The State Department, Homeland Security, your Airline, Cruise-line, before your departure and your return.
Insurance: We FIRMLY RECOMMEND the purchase travel insurance for your protection. Only specific “Cancel for ANY Reason” policies will allow you to cancel your trip for the specified refund. Some policies do not refund at all if you cancel for an "Act of God" (weather related, earthquake, natural disasters like mudslides, fire, etc.), Pandemics, Terrorism or non covered personal emergencies. Be sure to purchase a TRUE "Cancel for ANY Reason" Policy. Yes it will cost a little more, but as we have seen, it is completely worth the extra. We also encourage and FIRMLY RECOMMEND the purchase of International Health Insurance. Most ALL U.S. based Insurance Policies, including Medicare, do not apply to Foreign Countries.
*BELOW ARE A FEW TRAVEL TIPS . THIS IS NOT A COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF DO OR DO NOT DO TRAVEL INSTRUCTIONS. As warnings and requirements, flights and entry requirements sometimes change hourly, It is up to the traveler to check State Department Warnings, Homeland Security Updates, World Health Organization, Airline/Tour/Cruise Companies updates as well as tourism information for the country you are visiting before you depart and at least 48 hours before you return.
